Rotorua Motor Lodge

Very clean and comfortable rooms at an inexpensive price. Very comfortable bed. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms well equiped with all you need. Heating was very good as it is cold in August in Rotorua.

No complaints. However, a cosmetic facelift would be a great idea.

We liked the proximity to the intersect of the highways we traveled the most. We also liked that the cost was closer to our budget, after spending more for most of our holiday. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful with things to do and sights to see in the Rotorua area. I would recommend the Rotorua Motel for those on a tight budget.

Location, staff friendliness and approachability

the location was the best thing about the place

The toilet had lots of dead sand flies lying around the toilet. We did not get fresh towels. and the people above us made alot of noise and we were there for rest and relaxation.

The shower head needs an upgrade- everything else was good.

Location is near the Mori village & geyser so good. You have a few km drive into town for eating. We had a kitchenette and it offered us good value.

The internet was free but the strength of signal was low. The hot tubs were a little grundgy. My kids used it and they were not real satisfied. The rooms are older but comfortable and clean.

High speed free Internet wifi, nice bed , nice tv and very good deals on international calls from the phone. Friendly staff and can guide you well. Not very close to city center if you dont have a car.

No cook top in the kitchen, bulb was not working in the bath room. Reception closed before the prescribed time (may be because of Easter). Quite interesting to see the oldest style of switches, outlets and fixtures, oldest that I have ever see. Hot and cold tap in the sink (no mixer). Dvd player could have helped. I paid 100 bucks for a night which is too much I think. Should have got a better place and more close to city.

The friendly owner greeted us at Reception. He was very helpful and his extensive knowledge and great suggestions were a great help too. The owners made an effort to assemble a folder for each room which contains a lot of helpful information and contains 'all the need to know' stuff. We liked the cleanliness of the spacious room and the price was what we could afford. The Motel is in a good location because it is not in the city center but not too far out as well. There are free parking too. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for budget travellers.

It was nice to relax in a calming place even though the CBD was just down the road it was still very comfortable and quiet

I was surprised that there was no electric blanket in Winter. My first night was really cold so got into bed with my clothes on!! Disappointing.

We liked that it was close to everything and the spa was good to relax before we settled in for the night. Would recommend to someone that didn't need anything too fancy or expensive.

The only complaint would be that there was nobody around when we went to check out, the office was still locked at 8.30am when on the door said opened at 7.30am.

Everything went just as we hoped it would,asked a few questions which were answered very politely and helpfully enjoyed our two nights

Certainly found nothing to complain about. Spoke to other quests and they were also pleasent and seemed quite happy with their positions in the hotel

you get what you pay. If earplugs are already available in the room then you can guess how noisy it will become. Gas station just behind the hotel and gasoline-trucks unloading during the night.
